Social and Economic Concerns of Women After Divorce and Related Factors (Case Study: Sabzevar City)

Divorce is a phenomenon that quickly changes people’s social and economic status.How to deal with situations after divorce and to adapt to it is different among women and men.Because women are more vulnerable than men,Faced with the conditions after the divorce and its consequences, they experience more problems.The purpose of this study is to investigate the concerns of women and some of its related factors after divorce. The mixed method was used for this research.Initially interviewed with 20 divorced women and in the next step, a questionnaire was arranged and a scrolling method was used. The findings showed that none of the variables related to their families had a significant effect on reducing their social worries. On the other hand, women’s economic concerns are influenced by the characteristics of the women’s family, and the education of parents, the number of children of women, and how to receive alimony has a significant and decreasing relationship with their economic concerns. In this way, it can be said that the social aspects of concerns have a deeper dimension. In other words, women’s social and economic concerns are large and economic concerns are slightly more than social.Among the components studied, worries about social status and worries about financial status are the most important social and economic concern of women. Investigating factors associated with social and economic concerns has shown that the family can be important in reducing the economic concerns of women, but it does not relieve women’s social concerns. In other words, women’s social concerns have a structural dimension and goes beyond women’s and their families.
