Field Traffic Accident Tracking and Accident Mechanism at West Shiraz Highway in 2015-2016

Among the factors affecting the severity and number of accidents in cities, street design, signs and warning signs. By identifying the incident points on the street, the great road and road, one can reduce the probability of human error by removing existing barriers. The purpose of this cross-sectional study is to identify incident points and factors affecting traffic accidents. The present study deals with all traffic accidents that took place from 1/1/1394 to the end of July, 1395 in the big road of Hosseini al-Hashemi city of Shiraz. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 21. The odds ratio (OR) of each of the factors affecting traffic accidents (deaths and injuries) such as gender, age and time of the accident was estimated using logistic regression models. The results showed that 421 were randomized to the total number of accidents occurred between 348 (7/82 percent) caused damage and 1 (2.0 percent) were fatal. The average ages of people who have crash were 02/32 ± 12, respectively. Men (OR = 1.63 CL 0.91-2.91) were more susceptible to damage caused by traffic accidents. The results show that men are more likely to suffer from accidents and injuries than women. the most frequent was the summer and spring seasons. time factor was an effective factor in the occurrence of accidents.
