The Effectiveness of Pre-Marriage Instruction on Mate Selection Criteria of High School Female Students

The main objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of pre-marriage instruction classes on girls mate selection criteria. The study population consisted of Abhar city high school girls who were selected by cluster random sampling. The present research method was quasi-experimental with pretest – posttest plan and control group and to collect information, mate-selection criteria prioritization was used. The number of samples was 40 people which were randomly divided into two groups (20 people in experimental group), (20 people in control group) that was performed from both pre-test and post-test groups. The experimental group was trained for ten sessions before marriage. For statistical data analysis, univariate analysis of covariance was used. The results showed that pre-marriage instruction had a positive impact on girls mate selection criteria (p <0/05).
