Investigation of the Dispersion Model for Crimes and the Factors That Affect them in the City of Semnan: A Case Study of Motorcycle and Bicycle Thefts

Prevention of crimes has always been one of the major issues in human life. It has been approached in different ways throughout the history. This study aims to identify the areas where motorcycle and bicycle thefts occur as a crime in order to help the police units have targeted management and identify the factors involved in such crimes in Semnan. The geographic information system and the SPSS software are used for place and time analyses. The statistical society of this study consists of the criminal acts of theft committed in the legal precinct of Semnan. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the data are provided through library and field studies. The results of the research show that the hottest spots for stealing motorcycles and bicycles are located in Mehr housing complex and Jahadieh district as two residential areas in the city of Semnan.
