An Exploration of Viewpoints of Librarians and Assessments of Data Entry Management in Intra-Organizational Library Software

this study aimed to identify the status of intra-organizational library software in terms of viewpoints made by data entry management. applied research in terms of its purpose and a survey for its method. Data collected using a check list. The research population consisted of two groups: a set of five software institutes which were studied based on the criteria of activity, scope of coverage and software compatibility and a set of group of 65 librarians from the state universities namely Tehran University, Sharif Univeristy of Technology, Shahid Beheshti, Malek Ashtar, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. according to the librarian's viewpoints UT Oracle 22.90%, Pand 18.26%, Mava 46.53%, Simad, 48.44%, Parwan 17.71% are considered to be in a satisfactory situation. librarians' views on the software capabilities in data entry related to Pand, Parwan, Siamad, Oracle and Mava showed significant weaknesses. Given the fact that the information entry environment is designed more accurate and more close to library and information science standards (not software standards), it streamlines the flow of information and search and designers need to pay more attention to this section.
