Prediction of Decision-Making Style of Physical Education Managers based on Psychological Hardiness and Coping Strategies
This study aimed to predict the decision-making style based on psychological hardiness and coping strategies in physical education managers. The sample consisted of 210 physical education managers, that selected by random Multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data gathered by 3 questionnaires Ahvaz psychological hardiness questionnaire (Kiamarsi et al, 1998), coping strategies questionnaire (Billings & Moss, 1984) and public decision-making styles questionnaire (Scott and Bruce, 1995). The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation test and multivariate regression using SPSS software version 20. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between psychological hardiness and decision-making styles, as well as coping strategies and decision making styles of managers in general (P <0.05). But there were no significant relationship between psychological hardiness and coping strategies in general. The results of multivariate regression showed that we can predict decision-making in managers based on the psychological hardiness and coping styles variables (P <0.05).
