Surveying the Positioning of Imam Khomeini Airport by ConsideringClimatic Studies Based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)
Equipped airports are considered as one of the important indexes of development in each country. Therefore, consideration of their positioning as one of the main industrial structures is of a considerable importance. Several human and natural factors play role in the positioning of airports, especially international airports. Among these factors, the role of climate and its effects can be distinguished from other factors. As one of the national development factors, Imam Khomeini Airport has a significant role in the south area o Tehran. High volume of flight in the said airport and the services it provides to the passengers are quite significant. A correct positioning based on climatic studies can have a considerable role in preventing from financial and physical damages and flight accidents. The main goal of this paper is to respond to the main questions if natural geographical factors can play an effective role in the positioning of Imam Khomeini airport and how and to which extent the climatic parameters can be effective in the positioning of Imam Khomeini airport. To achieve the aforesaid goal, the considered information was collected based on climatic parameters of information of synoptic stations of Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports, climatology stations of refinery, Kahrizak, Aminabad, etc. as basic data and was then analyzed and evaluated based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)
