The Interaction of Culture and Foreign Policy in Information AgeDr.Hasan Shamsini GhiasvandAbstract: The most theorists believe that convergent communication and cultural interaction would result in the more convergence in the region and the world. An increase in cultural communication makes the exchange of ideas more necessary. Moreover, it creates conditions for new cooperations in cultural, economic and political areas. It seems undeniable necessity of using cultural potentials in order to enhance relations between nations, to establish regional unions based on common cultural elements in world after the cold war. In addition to official diplomacy, it is essential to pay attention to cultural diplomacy and to promote high values by careful planning in art, educational and cultural areas to serve the national interest. From this perspective, the cultural diplomacy could be used not only for cultural aims, but to achieve political, security and military aims.Key Words: Constructivism, Convergence, Culture, Globalization,
