The Impact of Knowledge-based Human Resources Management on Innovation Performance in Iranian Export SMEs

The research purpose, studying effect of Knowledge-based Human Resources Management on Innovation Performance through Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Mediation, in export small and medium size enterprises (SMEs). To study research variables, structural equations modeling has been used. Also, mediator variables have been measured via Sobel test. This research is applied and quantitative. The data are gathered from the views of the managers of the 253 small and medium sized exporting companies. Data has been collected through field study via questionnaire. Content validity of questionnaire has been verified through validity index and content validity ratio. The results show the key role played by knowledge-based human resource management in terms of knowledge management, intellectual capital, and innovation performance promotion, in exporter SMEs. From among other results, reference could be made to effective mediator role of knowledge management and intellectual capital played in relation with knowledge-based human resource management and innovation performance. Also, knowledge management has played significant intermediary role between intellectual capital and innovation performance. In general, by increasing the level of knowledge of HRM in exporting companies, through knowledge management and intellectual capital, innovation performance can be improved.
