In the same vein, the current paper aims to clarify passive defense in increasing deterrence in the face of biologic attacks (the case-study of smallpox). The research is applied in regard with type and in terms of method, it is analytic-descriptive which seeks to examine the passive defense in increasing deterrence against biologic attacks as a question. The sample consists of 110 persons of commentators and specialists concerned to biologic attacks and passive defense. After gathering data, a questionnaire including 10 items was prepared in regard with the variables, and the answers were analysed through SPSS software and Chi 2, the results of which confirmed the hypothesis of the study.
