The effectiveness of the group consulting based on reality therapy on career adaptability
The aim of the present study was the effectiveness of group consulting based on reality therapy on career adaptability. The research method was semi-experimental and its design was a pretest-posttest with the control group. The population consisted of all undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Bojnord, Iran (N= 3008), in the 2016-17 academic year. The sample consisted of 30 volunteers who were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (each group of 15). The information-gathering instrument was Career Adaptability Questionnaire (Savikas, 2012) that completed by every two groups before and after the intervention. The experiment group participated in ten sessions of the practical group reality therapy and the control group no received the intervention. T-test and covariance analysis used for examination of the research hypothesis. Research findings show the group reality therapy is effective in enhancing the career adaptability and its dimensions; concern, control, and curiosity (p<0/05). The results of this study showed the importance of group therapy reality program in enhancing the career adaptability; therefore, it is recommended that organizations, in order to enhance the career adaptability, rely on this program.
