Study of Marginalization and Social Development Grounded Theory (Identifying the Interventionist Conditions, Strategies, and Consequences of the Unrealized Social Development among Pakdasht Marginalizations)

Urban life has always had many problems, including marginalizations. This situation has increasingly led to the lack of development and the lack of institutionalization of its various dimensions, particularly social development among the marginalizations. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the "interventionist", "strategies" and "consequences" of social development among Pakdasht marginalizations. The study population consisted of all residents over 18 years of age in the marginalizations of Pakdasht city. The sampling was done in a Purposeful and theoretical way. The data collection tool was an interview, which was conducted after interviewing 30 individuals and reaching theoretical saturation. The analyzes were based on three stages of open, axial and selective coding. In axial coding, the axial phenomenon of "existential suspension" was extracted. The findings show that the intervening conditions in understanding the suburbs are "social status weakness, state-centered development mentality, violence and elimination vision, and low social responsibility and belonging". The strategies adopted against these conditions are "self-sacrifice, maximization of benefits and continuity, and decline of functionalism," with consequences such as "psychosocial rupture and the centrality of economics in social life that shape themselves they show a fragile habit and distance from the environment and a one-dimensional understanding of development.
