Increase Traffic Safety by Optimizing the Installation Angle of the Guardrail
Today, in all countries to enhance vehicles traffic safety, the many forms barrier along and median of roads used.In order to optimize the safety such guardrail, maintenance methods, and the degree of rigidity, they have always been of interest to engineers. The aim of this study was to evaluate a simple model of safety guardrail that is commonly used in Iran. For this purpose, a few segments of the highway and the main road of Khuzestan were evaluated in further studies. This model from the perspective of the bending strength against the force was evaluated. The results showed that if the Weak Axis angle of about 20 degrees to the axis of the road direction and they will be installed in the proper location, Increased hardness and bending strength of the guardrail, and consequently, can help in restoring vehicles to the direction. At the end, optimized guardrail placement devices installed to be introduced in order to increase vehicle power and thus gradually increase the safety of vehicle occupants
