An Analysis of how the Relation between Standardization and Innovation

Abstract:

One of the issues that minds of researchers and decision makers have in the field of standard and standardization may be busy, the subject of standardization and how it is related to innovation. An issue that has been raised for many years by researcher with different views. It is important to explain this issue that kind of views and analysis of this issue, may deny the basis of standardization and introduce at odds with creativity or strengthen and expand its. This article is one of the research studies and it is trying to provide an analysis in the field of standardization and innovation. The purpose of this article is to answer the question whether standardization is limiting or facilitating innovation? In other words, what kind of relation is between these two categories? This article first discusses the theoretical foundations related to innovation, standardization and standardization and then using research backgrounds and expert opinions, the analytical answer is given to four questions raised in this regard.
