Abstract:

The development of transport far-reaching effects on the economic productive sectors. While the development of transport networks effects on economic growth, the effect of economic growth and development forces in creating a suitable transportation network is also important. Therefore, along with the economic development of each country, the transport must also grow and spread. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between the development of transport networks and regional development in Fars province. In this regard, different indicators such as per capita bank deposits, per building, per capita electricity consumption in the industrial sector and employment in different sectors as an indicator of economic activity and growth have been considered. The results show that the correlation between the development of communication network and indicators of activity and employment in the city of Fars province. On this basis, we can mention the transportation system development policies realized in economic development planning.
