A Comparative Study of the Performance of the Diplomatic Police of Iran with England and France
Field and target:
The purpose of this study was to compare the performance of the Iranian diplomatic police with the British and French police in intelligence activities on political agents, physical protection and interaction and service to the diplomatic community.
Research Methodology
Based on the nature and aims of the study, the qualitative method was used in this study. At the same time, this research is a kind of exploratory research. The statistical population of this study consisted of 45 documents published in the field of diplomatic police containing the statistics and images of diplomatic police of the countries under investigation extracted from published documents, articles produced and general visits by Iranian diplomatic commanders and chiefs. Iran's diplomatic corps and diplomatic police are in the UK and France. Content analysis method was used for data analysis.
The highest percentage of convergence between countries is related to France and the United Kingdom regarding information measures on diplomatic missions (94.7%) and the least convergence between the countries of Iran and the United Kingdom in terms of engagement and service to the diplomatic community (43.9%). Finally, among the three dimensions, Iranian diplomatic police had the highest convergence with the French police (77.6%) and the least convergence with the British police (55%).
