Normalization of NEO – FFI 5 factors test for selecting candidates of police academy entrance
This research aims at normalization of NEO- FFI 5 factors test for selecting candidates of police academy entrance 454 long – term, short – term students in 2010 – 2011academic year were selected through proportional stratified random sampling method. The tool was NEO – FFI 5 factors test which organizing factors have extracted via executing explorative and confirmatory factor analysis method. Correlation coefficient of each factors were as follow:Neuroticism (0/799), Extroversion (0/719), conscientiousness (0/829), agreeableness (0/936) and openness (0/877). For synchronized examination of NEO- FF 5 factor test Validity, the statistical analysis results indicate that the lowest extent of correlation related to openness (0/71) and the highest extent of correlation related to neuroticism (0/936).
Totally, the results indicate that the correlation of sub scales with total score of scale were high and significant, in this manns. Internal correlation of all sub scales were in 0/001 level of significance, therefore the hypothesis has confirmed with 0/99 of confidence From 5 factors of NEO – FFI test, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness and extroversion were in a high level and openness was in a low level of validity and validity in comparison with other factors. The realibility has calculated through internal uniformity of Cranach Alpha for each of 5 sub scales: Neuroticism (0/86), extroversion (0/71), agreeableness (0/78), conscientiousness (0/75), openness (0/70) and. Total test (0/945) which indicates that internal uniformity of questions of this test.
