Talent Management Status Quo at Bu-Ali Sina University and the Moderation Test of the Role of Job Type in its Perception

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the status quo of talent management in Bu Ali Sina University, and to test the role of job type in its perception. The study population consisted of all faculty members (440) and non-faculty members (staff)(735) of Bu Ali Sina University with a total of 1175 who were selected by stratified random sampling method through Cochran formula. The research method is quantitative, descriptive and survey type, and especially cross-sectional studies. Oehley (2007) 36-item talent management questionnaire was used for data collection. Cronbach's alpha and confirmatory factor analysis were used to determine the reliability and validity of the instrument. For data analysis, one-sample t-test, Friedman and Manova multivariate analysis of variance were used by Spss25 software. The results showed that: the status of talent recruitment and recruitment variables, identifying and separating talented staff, employing talent, creating and maintaining positive relationships and talent management in the whole sample was above average level, and the status of talent development and talent retention was average level. Manova F values ​​at the 0.01 level were significant and indicated the moderating role of job type in talent management perception and its dimensions in faculty members and staff.
