Effects of group intervention based on the Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) on Job Stress

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of group intervention based on the Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) on job stress among personnel of judicature in Tehran.
Thirty personnel of judicature in Tehran were selected by available volunteer sampling method and assigned randomly to experimental and control groups. During eight 1.5 hour sessions, the experimental group received group intervention based on the Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT). In the control group speaks about smoking, alcohols and accidents (irrelevant to CBT) during eight sessions of 1.5 hours. Before and after interventions and during follow-up stage, the examinees completed Osipow’s Occupational Stress Inventory. Data analysis was done using Repeated Measurement Mixed.
Group intervention based on the CBT decreased job stress significantly (p<0.01).
