Survey the effect of physical disability on life expectancy in Cosmetic factory Workers: A case study
Disability is a set of physical and mental disorders preventing individuals to continue living y and to keeping on social activities, independently and personally, People with disabilities experience more restrictions for their education and employment. Since the hope is considered as an important element for creating a positive image of oneself and attitudes towards the future of disable people, the present study examined the effect of physical disability on life expectancy of a cosmetic factory Workers.
In this study data were collected using demographic questionnaire and hope questionnaire Snyder (1991). Data was analyzed by using statistical tests including Mann-Whithney and Kruskal Wallis test of SPSS software v.22 (α= 0.05).
According to demographic questionnaire results,52% of workers were healthy and 48% of them were disable. 18.6% of disable workers, suffered from mobility disabilities. Also, the result of hope questionnaire Snyder showed a significant relationship between score of life expectancy and contract worker of factory and center for the disabled (P=0.011).
No significant relationship between score of life expectancy and type of disability, status physical, position job, and business unit was seen. Based on the finding of this study, it can be concluded that the employment of people with disabilities and their job security increase their life expectancy.
