The Effectiveness of Teaching Planning Based on Spirituality and Islamic Teachings on Anxiety and Academic Resiliency of Students
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of teaching planning based on spirituality and Islamic teachings on anxiety and academic resiliency of senior high school male students. This study was a semiexperimental one with pre- test and post- test as well as control group. The statistical population of this study consisted of all senior high school male students in Tabriz in academic year 2019- 2020. Multistage cluster sampling was used to select the sample. For this purpose, 40 students were selected after the screening and were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Then, 10 training sessions were conducted for the experimental group, and the control group did not receive any training. Pre- test and post- test were conducted using exam anxiety and academic resiliency questionnaires. The data were then analyzed using covariance analysis. The results of data analysis showed that teaching spirituality- based curriculum and the Islamic teachings had an effect on reducing academic anxiety and increasing students, academic resilience.
