Predicting social interest based on the basic psychological needs and emotional atmosphere of the family

The aim of this study was to predict social interest based on the basic psychological needs and emotional atmosphere of the family. The research method was descriptive-correlation and the statistical population included students of Azad University of Roodehen Branch in the academic year 2017-17. The sample size was estimated based on Kramer method, 160 people and were selected by multi-stage random sampling method. The sample completed three questionnaires: Basic Psychological Needs, Family Emotional Atmosphere, and Crandell Social Interest. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that social interest can be predicted based on the basic psychological needs and emotional atmosphere of the family and the two variables of family emotional climate and the relationship between basic psychological needs and social interest variable have a positive and significant correlation.
