The comparsion of positive and negative emotional regulation, cognitive ability and Contingencies of self-worth in Gifted and normal adolescents
The purpose of the present study was to compare positive and negative emotional regulation, cognitive ability and Contingencies of self-worth in two groups of gifted and normal adolescents. For this purpose, 120 persons of gifted and normal students, based on multi-stage cluster sampling were selected from schools in the city of Bushehr. Finally, the students individually in cognitive abilities, emotional regulation and Contingencies of self-worth were studied. The results showed differences between the two groups of gifted and normal adolescents, So that gifted adolescents were experiencing more than normal adolescent's contingent self-worth. It seems that the Contingencies of selfworth ompared with cognitive dimensions and emotion regulation, more prominent role in explaining educational differences Gifted and normal students.
