Comparison of Post Marriage Legal Privileges and Restrictions of Women in Iran and Some Islamic Countries

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to compare the legal privileges and restrictions of women after marriage in laws of Iran and some other Islamic countries. The under study universal was women's legal issues and the research sample was women's legal privileges and restrictions declared in the law. The research design was descriptive-analytical. Method of data collection was based on library research. Using data analysis method and based on the findings of this study, the legal privileges of women after marriage in Iran and some Islamic countries were: dowry, retribution, inheritance, alimony, fetal alimony, women's rights during pregnancy and lactation , right of a woman to refuse to perform the duties of marriage, financial independence of a woman in marriage, condition of having half of the property in case of divorce by a man, judicial divorce and their restrictions, included obedience, male presidency, female employment, citizenship, residence and female permission to leave home.
