evaluation of inequalities in quality of life of oil cities (Case study: Abadan city)
The quality of urban life has a direct relationship with the social, economic, environmental, public facilities and community services. The purpose of this study is to measure and assess quality of life inequalities in urban areas of Abadan oil city. Analytical research is a descriptive-analytic research that analyzes existing documents and evidences using library method and information questionnaire. The results show that there is a significant difference between the oil industry areas and other urban areas of Abadan in terms of quality of life indicators and all regions are not at the same level of quality of life, and the level of quality of life was identified according to the location, economic and role of oil industry. As Berim and Buarde are at a fully developed level, the area (1_4) and (2_3) are developed, The region (1_2) is the relatively developed surface area, (3_2), (1_1), (1_3), (2_1) and (2_2) are developed with the highest number at the lower level and the regions (3-3), (3_1) And (2_4) are at an undeveloped level (deprived). The more developed regions (Berim and Buarde, 2_3 and 1_4) are economically and socially mostly dependent on the oil industry, which are in a better position in terms of having urban services indicators, which leads to separation and spatial inequality Areas in Abadan in term of having quality of life indicators.
