Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group counseling between students from the perspective of first grade high school counselors in Karaj. The statistical population of this study consists of all first grade high school students in Karaj. Krejcie and Morgan table was used to determine the minimum sample size. Accordingly, the number of samples from the two mentioned communities is 146 people. Random clustering method was used to select the sample members. In order to collect information, a researcher-made questionnaire on the effectiveness of individual and group counseling in the form of 12 closed-ended questions was used. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha. Kolmogorov-Smirnov, one-sample t-test and independent t-test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that individual and group counseling is effective and also there was no difference between group and individual counseling.
