The security paradigm of threat against threat; a survey

The existing security discourses has been stated based on current patterns of security. The aim of this study is the expression of indigenous security paradigm for I.R.Iran based on the threat against threat. Hence, the primary question is that what are the characteristics of threat against threat? This paper is an applied research and it was performed to the field - case method with qualitative and quantitative analysis method. The populations are 230 people and by using the Cochran formula, the sample size consist 69 people. The Data for this research gathered and analyzed from library studies, field studies and documents. The results indicate that, under the new security doctrine: "the threat against the threat with a win-win play and idealism in theory and realism in action" is required to deal with multifaceted threats. Its characteristics include the "ability-oriented, value-oriented, intelligent, cross-functional, emotional and indignity with looking out." The function of this school is invasive approach and a strategy of deterrence based on fear. This strategy, could replace the theory of "balance of interests" instead the theory of "balance of power" and "balance of threats" and creating "overall balance" between the threat and the security and interests. Mentioned strategy is based on the unity between people and government, and through integration with external players, active diplomacy, economic strength, national commitment and jihadi management play an effective role in increasing Iran`s security.
