Study is the Functional Role of Small Cities in the Development of Sustainability Indicators of Penetration Cities (Case Study: Nikshahr City)
the purpose of this study is the functional role of small cities in the development of sustainability indicators of penetration cities (case study: Nikshahr city). The approach to the research space is qualitative and quantitative and the type of research is applied. for analyzing descriptive and inferential information, software (SPSS and Expert Choice) and Fuzzy VIKOR Technique were used. The statistical population consists of inhabitants of cities located in the area of influence of Nikshahr city (Spakeh and Bent), which using the Cochran formula and according to the population of the cities surveyed in 2017, their number is 10541 people. The study of the role of the function of Nikshahr city in the economic and social development of cities in the penetration area, using multiple regression method in step-by-step method, showed that, independent variable (function of Nikshahr city) and dependent variables (economic and social) have a significant relation at the level of P=0.05. Also, the results of prioritizing the economic and social development dimensions of Expert Choice software showed that, among the dimensions of development, respectively, economic dimensions with a weight of 0.550 and social dimension with a weight of 0.450, ranked first and second. Finally, the results of ranking of cities in the area of influence of Nikshahr city with emphasis on development dimensions using Fuzzy VIKOR model showed that the city of Spectra with weight of 0.640 and the city of Bennett with weight of 360.0, have the first and second priorities.
