Investigation and analysis of urban public space components to achieve social interactions (Case study: District 12 of Tehran)

Urban spaces are part of urban activities and a platform for social interactions and the formation of social capital And the success rate of urban spaces is proportional to the use of space and human presence in it.What we face in most urban spaces today is the reduction of social interactions and social participation of residents in these spaces.The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the components of urban public space in order to achieve social interactions (Case study: District 12 of Tehran)The research method in this research is descriptive and analytical and SPSS software was used to analyze the data.This article answers the questions of whether it is possible to increase social interactions by designing a suitable urban public space?And can the presence of people be improved by increasing the security of public spaces?The results show that among the research indicators of space maintenance and care with 38%, vitality index, factors such as good accessibility with 32% and visual beauty with 17% have the highest weight.
