Relationship between personality types and emotional intelligence with students' mental health
The present study was to investigate the relationship between personality traits (extraversion, conscientiousness) and emotional intelligence with mental health in Azad University students.
For this purpose, 360 eligible students entered the study and were selected by convenience sampling and their information was administered by conducting a demographic questionnaire, Myers-Briggs personality traits, its emotional intelligence (1980) and Goldenberg (1979). ) it was gathered. Data analysis was performed with SPSS software version 24 and Pearson correlation coefficient and regression simultaneously with a significance level of 0.05.
The results showed that there is a negative and significant correlation between the dimensions of extraversion and conscientiousness of personality and emotional intelligence with mental health. Also, extroversion of 29%, conscientiousness of 0.31% and emotional intelligence of 47% explain the variance related to mental health at a significant level.
The variables of extraversion and conscientiousness and emotional intelligence are able to predict mental health.
