Identifying and ranking of factors promoting public accountability in public organizations (Case study of accountants of executive device)
One of the main concerns of public administration today is in the practical and theoretical field of public accountability. If democracies in practice cannot hold people accountable for their actions, then democracy will only remain as talk and slogans, so given the importance of public accountability, the present study analyzes, identifies, and ranks public accountability dimensions of public accountability in public agencies. This research is a Mixed method of qualitative and quantitative methods. In the first stage, a qualitative and content analysis method was used to collect information from written and electronic sources to collect and identify public accountability factors. Secondly, Delphi technique was used to determine the dimensions of public accountability. According to experts, six factors of legal, financial, political, moral, democratic and performance accountability were identified as promoting public accountability in public accountability in public agencies. Based on the ratings, the highest score was obtained for legal accountability (4.55) and the lowest score for performance accountability (3.45). Using the results of this study, it reduced stress and succeeded in achieving goals effectively. Organizations will be helpful in public accountability.
