The Political Dimension of Sayyid Razi’s (ra) Personality
The main reason for Seyyed Razi's fame is the collection of the sayings of the Amir al-Mu'minin in the noble book of Nahj al-Balaghah, then his various literary and scientific works. But the political dimension of Sayyid Razi's life has been neglected and often unknown even to Shiites. In this article, we want to provide a brief biography of Seyyed Razi, his works and writings, and the political dimension of his personality in two areas of life and political thinking. Then, express his life and political thought to the extent that there are reliable sources. This article discusses the dimension of political life, his positions, responsibilities, and political and social occupations, specifically his role as a supervisor of the Divan-e Mazalem and Amir al-Hajj and his efforts to gain Caliphate. Sayyid's intellectual life includes his attitude towards the right of the Caliphate, the legitimacy of the Amir al-Mu'minin and his descendants in the succession of the Prophet(PBUH), and Sayyid's political protests against the caliphs and rulers of the time, which he has deliberately represented in his poems. Based on the scientific and practical characteristics of Seyyed Razi (r.a.) in the political and social arena, it is possible to get a correct idea of his personality and thus provide another theoretical perspective in understanding and re-reading his works and ideas.
