Explaining the Components of Spiritual Education According to Imam Ali (AS)
The purpose of this study is to explain the components of spiritual education, according to Imam Ali (AS). It is an applied study in terms of purpose and has a qualitative approach. In data collection, the qualitative content analysis (deductive-inductive) method was used. The statistical populations, Nahj al-Balaghah and Gharr al-Hakam were purposefully sampled. The data collection method was a documentary, which was conducted through the note-taking method. In the data analysis method, after studying the narrations, the main categories related to spiritual education were categorized, and based on the initial coding, similar codes were created under each category. These categories were compared, and the main category was completed based on the general categories. According to the research findings, spiritual education components, according to Imam, are based on the four components of patience, certainty, justice, and jihad; each includes four sub-components. Patience has an active state and was classified into criteria of type, purpose, tools, and strategy. Certainty, doubt eliminating, is an endeavoring activity, light and enlightenment, the fulcrum of spirituality, and the basis of patience. Justice includes the realization of rights, the improvement of affairs, the implementation of boundaries, justice, piety, the care of the people, the struggle against oppression, and the realization of equality. Jihad has been expressed as an act in the heart, speech, and action, on the battlefield and various cultural, economic, and political fields. According to Imam, the components and sub-components of spiritual education are explained in light of a monotheistic view.
