Investigating the Factors of Drug Trafficking(Case study: Smugglers arrested by Hamedan Drug Police)
The purpose of this study was to identify the factors involved in drug trafficking among Hamadan drug traffickers. In this study, qualitative approach and phenomenological research method have been used. The statistical population of this study consisted of all drug traffickers, including record-keepers and first-time detainees, who were interviewed through a convenience sampling of six traffickers. In this study, semi-structured interview was used to collect the required data. Content validity was used to determine its validity. In this study, thematic or thematic analysis was used to test research goals and questions. The results of the interviews with the arrested traffickers showed that several factors are involved in this phenomenon. In general, the interviews identified three categories of social, economic, and psychological factors that account for the reasons for drug trafficking. The components of each of these reasons are: social environment and individual life, cultural-ethnic values, education, family status, religious and ethical commitment, Bad friends, weak social control mechanisms, psychological characteristics, psychosocial problems, poverty and unemployment.
