The sense of social security and the factors affecting it with an emphasis on the role of the police (Case study: 4 areas of Imam Khomeini Hasar, Vali-e-Asr, Mazdqineh and Khidr)

The aim of this research was to determine the level of social security feeling and its effective factors in the four marginal areas (Imam Khomeini Hasar, Vali-e-Asr, Mazdqineh and Khidr) in Hamedan. In this research, correlation research method has been used.  The statistical population of this study was people over 18 years of age living in the four above-mentioned areas. A number of 384 people were selected by using cluster sampling and Krejcie and Morgan table, but in order to have more reliability, the final number of samples was 402 persons. In this research, a social security sense questionnaire has been used to collect the required data. To determine their validity, the content validity has been used and also the coefficient Cronbach's alpha was used in order to obtain their reliability. In the questionnaire, its value was 0.81. In this research, descriptive and inferential statistics such as mean, percentage, Kalmogorov-Smirnov test, T-test of two independent samples, Pearson correlation and regression test have been used in order to test the hypotheses. The results of the T-test of two independent samples indicate that the level of social security in men was 36.3 and in women was 25.3%, which indicates that there is a higher sense of security in men than women. Also, the results of Pearson correlation tests and multivariate regression show that there is a direct relationship between variables of socioeconomic status, police capability, police professional behavior, social trust with social security feeling, and there is a direct relationship between feeling of deprivation with social security feeling in the target areas.
