An Investigation of the Second Pahlavi Confrontation Process with the Clergy (1357-1320)

Abstract:

The importance of confronting the Pahlavi regime with opposing religious currents, especially seminaries and clergy during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah is the main issue of research. Following the behavior and character of the Pahlavi government towards the clergy, this study concluded that the Pahlavi regime, taking advantage of all positive and negative strategies and tools, applied a policy of all-out pressure against the clergy; Efforts to entice the clergy, support the Hojjatieh Association, exploit the differences over the book "Shahid Javid" (positive confrontation); And actions such as slander, gossip, insult and insult, threats and intimidation (soft denial confrontation) as well as attack on seminary centers, deportation, imprisonment and torture of revolutionary clerics (severe denial confrontation), the findings of this study on the governmentchr('39')s approach Pahlavi are opposite to the institution of the clergy, which were obtained by descriptive-analytical method, and using reliable sources of contemporary history.
