Analysis of the Relationship between Written and Visual Signs on Billboards and Posters of Sardar Soleimani and Its Effect in Carrying the Culture of Resistance and Martyrdom

The present study seeks to answer the question of what concepts the visual and written signs in the posters of Sardar Soleimani include and what is their role in expressing the culture of resistance and martyrdom. The purpose of this research is to identify the concepts of visual and written signs in general Soleimani posters and to get acquainted with the effect of posters in introducing their existential values to the society and also expressing the culture of resistance and martyrdom. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The results show that the main concepts of Shahid Soleimani`s posters and billboards are values such as guardianship-basedness, resistance, eternal life and ascension, uruj, power and security. Haj Qassem Soleimanichr('39')s personality traits, the grief of the people over his loss, Haj Qassem the international figure of the resistance, reaching Holy Quds and revenge are other concepts of these works. In these works, the face of Martyr Soleimani, as a superior sign, plays a key role in conveying meaning, and the written signs on posters and billboards convey the message of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution after his martyrdom, which has a semantic connection with the visual elements in the posters.
