Study of the relationship between social factors and the amount of theft of items inside the vehicle in Hamadan

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between social factors and the theft of items inside the vehicle in Hamadan. The research methodology was ‘correlation analysis’ and population of this research were thieves of items inside the vehicle in Hamadan arrested during the first six months of 1393 including a number of 73 people and the statistical community consisted of anti-theft detectives covering a number of 108 people and in total, of 181 people. The measurement tools of two researcher-made questionnaires were the evaluation of social factors from thieves and detectives’ viewpoints. For the evaluation of tools validity, the content validity was used and the tools validity has been reported from the perspective of acceptable experts. The Cronbach's alpha was used in order to assess the reliability and its amount was 83 /. and 85 /. The descriptive statistics and Chi-square test and Pearson correlation coefficient test and regression have been used to analyze the data. The results showed that there were positive correlation with the car theft and the addiction, place of residence, family structure and relationship with peers, but there is a significant relationship between immigration and of the theft of items inside the vehicle.
