EFFECTIVENESS OF STERNBERG THEORY TRAINING ON INCREASING MARITAL SATISFACTION OF MARRIED FEMALE STUDENTS OF HAMADAN AZAD UNIVERSITY
Marriage is the most important custom in all societies and cultures that has the formation and shaping of the closest communication processes between two people and ultimately the formation of a social unit called the family. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Sternberg theory training on increasing marital satisfaction of married female students of Hamadan Azad University.
The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design with two experimental and control groups. The target population in this study was married female students of Hamadan Azad University and relative stratified random sampling method was used to select the sample. Forty subjects were randomly assigned into two groups of experimental (n = 20) and control (n = 20). The experimental group received Sternberg theory training in eight sessions and each session for one and a half hours. The control group received no training, then both groups received post-test. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, central indices and dispersion) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance) in SPSS.
The results showed that education of Sternbergchr('39')s theory had a significant effect on marital satisfaction of married students. Therefore, it can be said that education of Sternberg theory increases marital satisfaction of married students
It can explained that teaching Sternberg theory leads to increased marital satisfaction of married students.
