Assessing the environmental effects of joining the surrounding settlements to the city of Isfahan
The increase in the level of cities and the growth of urbanization and the emergence of problems related to the inadequacy and appropriateness of planners withenvironmental power have led to environmental crises, or their development in separate, unplanned, fragmented and escaped parts has led to the pattern of urban expansion. In parallel with this pattern of urban development, the surrounding agricultural lands have undergone land use change. The city of Isfahan, like other cities in recent decades, has had an unbalanced and scattered growth, so that this growth has led to destructive environmental effects such as the destruction of high-quality agricultural land. One way to prevent urban sprawl is to join the surrounding cities to the metropolis. The purpose of this study is to identify environmental problems in the first place, the connection of the surrounding cities to the city of Isfahan, and in the next stage, to evaluate the environmental effects of the connection of the surrounding cities to the city of Isfahan. The present research method was mixed. For this purpose, using the thematic analysis method to identify environmental and environmental problems and then to evaluate the effects of joining the surrounding cities, structural equation model using Amos software was used. The results of this study showed that pollution includes soil, water, air, environmental pollution, etc. Green space and landscape including land use change, maintenance of agricultural lands, suitable landscapes of buildings and exhausted tissue is one of the environmental problems that the joining of the surrounding cities has had the greatest impact on agricultural land and the least impact on per capita population.
