Military-security Coalition between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Israel: its Consequences for Iran's National Security
Whereas Iran possesses a significant 767 km long land and water border with the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Israeli regime is the main threat to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the political-security coalition between Baku and Tel Aviv could seriously challenge Iran's national security in south Caucasus. Accordingly, this study deals with the expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, which has led to their politico-security coalition, and its consequence for Iran's national security could be dealt with as a question. Hypothetically, the expansion of Baku-Azerbaijan relations through security-military coalition and the identity policies adopted thereafter severely challenges Iran’s national security and poses Azerbaijan as the main threat to Iran in South Caucasus. The purpose of this study is to explain the threats to the national security of Iran from Azerbaijan due to her expansion of ties with Israel which analyses data with descriptive-analytical method by means of library resources.
