Presenting an Optimal Model of Cognitive-Educational Learning Style with Emphasis On The Culture of Communication Language Teaching Approach
The aim of this study is to provide an optimal model of cognitive-educational learning style with emphasis on the culture of communication language teaching approach.
The research method was mixed or combined method. Thus, in the first part, by analyzing the inductive content, the dimensions and components of educational learning of high school students with emphasis on the communication approach are identified and in the second part, their validation is done by a descriptive survey method. The statistical population in the first part was expert professors, authors and heads of departments and in the second part was high school students in Tehran. In the quantitative part, the number of interviewees was 15 and in the quantitative part, using Cochranchr('39')s formula, the number of samples was estimated at 202 and they were selected using the sampling method in relation to the educational area. The research tool in the first part is a semi-structured interview and in the second part, a researcher-made questionnaire based on the dimensions and components extracted from the perspective of various experts, whose face and content validity has been confirmed by academic experts after the study. The reliability of the questionnaire during the calculation of Cronbachchr('39')s alpha coefficient was equal to 0.90. In qualitative analysis of the findings, a model was used and in quantitative analysis of data, confirmatory factor analysis method was used.
The results showed that communication dualism, two-way communication, communication approach culture, active self-confident approach, facilitating transferable skills were the axes of the optimal model of educational learning of high school students with emphasis on communication approach. In the current situation, the average of facilitating transferable skills and culture of communication approach from the perspective of high school students was higher than expected, but the average of other components was lower than expected.
Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the use of communication learning based on the communication approach has been effective in promoting English language learning, so this study uses the teachings of the theory of communication approach to improve English language learning.
