This is descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population consisted of 200 athletes, who were active in sports clubs of Isfahan province in 2018. Out of athletes who exercised at least 3 days a week, 20 male and female athletes in volleyball, basketball, futsal, and swimming fields were randomly selected. The Kaviani Islamic Lifestyle Survey and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire were used. The data were analyzed by SPSS 22 software, using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression.
There was a positive and significant correlation between the mean scores of Islamic lifestyle and happiness of the athletes (r=0.63; p=0.001). Worshipful life could significantly explain 17% of the variance of happiness in the first step, 22% along with the sinfulness variable in the second step, and 24% along with the inherent characteristics in the third step (p=0.001).
