The role of think tanks in foreign policy (Case Study of England)
Nowadays, each and every researcher knows/understands the role of credible thinkers in the foreign policy process of countries. These centers are, in fact, a bridge between knowledge and politics, think tanks like Carnegie, Rand, Chatham House, and so on. Not just research centers, but decision-makers for senior policy makers in their respective countries are of fundamental significance. Thinkers play an important role in the field of foreign policy as a reservoir of ideas, science production, human resource training, legitimization of countries' policies, or the legitimization of rival rival politics and the destruction of its prestige. These centers are an integral part of foreign policy in developed countries, which, by designing and redesigning multiple scenarios for various issues, inform the activists and political elites of the benefits and costs of each scenario. In this paper, we try to investigate and explain the role of think tanks in different stages of foreign policy, with an emphasis on the case study of think tanks in England, to the main question of the present research, in which think tanks play a role in the foreign policy process?
