Effectiveness of Logo Therapy to the fear of disease progression and pain control in Women with Breast Cancer
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of logo therapy to the fear of disease progression and pain intensity in women with Breast Cancer. This research was of a semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test experimental and control groups. The study population included all the females with Breast Cancer referring to the Sarem Hospital of Tehran in 1398. By applying Voluntary sampling, 24 patients selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received 8 sessions of 2 hours of logo therapy training. fear of disease progression questionnaire and pain intensity scale were used to collect the data. Data were analyzed using SPSS software (ver. 25) and multivariate analysis of covariance. The results of analysis of covariance showed that group meaning therapy significantly reduced the fear of disease progression and pain intensity in the post-test stage compared to the pre-test in the experimental group compared to the control group. this treatment can be used as a complementary treatment, along with medication, to improve the quality of life of these patients.
