The Effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation package based on executive functions on the academic performance of slow learners
the aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation based on executive functions on the academic performance of slow learners.
the research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest with the control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all slow learners in Kashan 2018-2019. Using an available sampling method, 30 students with the required criteria based on the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly assigned to experimental (n = 15) and control (n = 15) groups. The experimental group was trained in 12 sessions of 1 hour and the control group did not receive any intervention. ANOVA was used for data analysis.
the results showed that cognitive rehabilitation based on executive functions was effective on academic performance (p < 0.05).
based on the results of present study, it can be concluded that cognitive rehabilitation based on executive functions can be used as an interventional method to improve academic performance of verbal working memory in slow learners.
