Assessing the Status of Structural Components of Good Governance in Higher Education

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to evaluate the status of structural components of good governance in University of Sistan and Baluchestan. Accordingly, this research is descriptive-survey in terms of practical purpose and in terms of nature and method of data collection. The statistical population of the study is the faculty members of Sistan and Baluchestan University that 187 people were selected as sample members using the stratified random sampling method and the required data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire. The face validity of the research instrument showed acceptable results and Cronbach's alpha method was used for the reliability of the research instrument. The alpha coefficient for the research components was more than 0.7. Finally, the results of the analysis of the collected data indicate that the structural components of good governance (including transparency, accountability, leadership and management, efficiency and effectiveness, accountability, control and oversight, and goals and mission) in Sistan and Baluchestan University are not good condition.
