Abstract:

The Holy Qurchr('39')an refers to the security of the Sacred House of God, in the verse: “And when We made the House (at Mecca) a resort for mankind and a sanctuary” There are various opinions among the commentators about the exact meaning of this verse and its similar ones. Some, relying on the corresponding verses and narrations, and some, and some relying on empirical and sensory matters, have explained their views on the concept of security, its origin, the reason for the existence of security, etc. The subject of this article is to examine the fariqain`s exegetic opinions on the verses related to the divine safe shrine and to analyze their views, and finally, to explain the narrative meaning of this phrase; The meaning is based on two pillars: the security of the religion and the Imamate. These two components, which are derived from the text of the narrations, lead the concept of security in the phrase " a sanctuary immune " to the meaning of Imam-centered religious security.
