Abstract:
The aim of this study was to predict social anxiety based on social problem solving styles and personality traits in women . athletes. The research method was descriptive-correlationalThe statistical population of the present study included all female athletes in the health stations of District 22 of Tehran, from which 320 people were selected by cluster sampling.To collect information, Conver's standard social phobia questionnaire, social problem solving questionnaire and five-factor personality questionnaire were used.Data analysis was performed using multiple regression analysis in a stepwise manner using SPSS software version 24.The results showed that the personality traits of neuroticism, extroversion and adaptability are able to predict the social anxiety of women athletes.Also, social problem solving styles, negative problem orientation and avoidance style are able to predict the social anxiety of wAs a result, social problem-solving styles and personality traits can predict social anxiety in women athletes.omen athletes.
