Implication of Cost - Benefit Analysisin Iran Steel Industry

Abstract:

Steel production in Iran has been recorded since fourteen century B.c. however the main growth and development in steel industry has occurred In recent decades. Steel industry has important role in development of industrial countries, and also steel consumption may consider as an important ind ices in the development process. This pap er has analyzed two main complexes (Zobe Ahan and Mobarakch) production stage, and (Navard 0 Looleh) in the rolling stage with the use of cost-- benefi t analysis. Two main approaches to cost -- benefit an alyses arc used : private and with respect to simple rate of return, internal rate of re turn..., has not excepted results. If the necessary finan cial, produ ctivity, and other reforms do not take place, investment in the industry will face serious problems. However, social cosst-- benefit analysis emphasizes on economizing foreign exchange, rather than empl oyment, which steel industry has no advantages in this regard, this research show that the selected unit has expected results and important role in the macroeconomic level.
